John Harris

David Fowell

On 28th April 1917. Pte David Fowell no 12377 of the 8th Battalion Lincolnshire Regt was killed in action in France – age 24. Walter Brown

Cpl. Walter Brown No.40655 served with the 12th Battalion West Yorkshire Regt was killed in action on the 24th September 1917. He is remembered on panel no. 43 in the Tyne Cot Memorial Belgium.

John Bennett

Pte John Bennett no. 5389 lost his life on the 9th of February 1917 serving with the West Yorkshire Regiment in France.Unfortunately the Nostalgia Team have not been able to locate a photograph of John but if anyone has any information about him please contact us.

John Bentley

Pte. John Bentley no. 8186 serving with the 1st Bn North Staffordshire Regt was killed in action on the 31st October 1915 aged 27. John was born in Abbots Bromley in 1887 to Moses and Harriet who lived in Bagot Street.Pte Bentley is buried in the Voormezeele Enclosure Belgium.

Arthur Fowell

Pte Arthur Fowell no. 12176 of the 8th Btn Lincolnshire Regt died of wounds on the 28th September 1915. Arthur was born in 1890 to William and Lucy who lived in Bagot Street.Pte Fowell is buried in the Noeux-les-Mines Communal Cementery France.

Charles Thomas Preedy

On the 30th July 1915 Pte. Charles Thomas Preedy no. 16756 died of wounds. Pte Preedy served with the Durham Light Infantry.
