Thomas was born in Abbots Bromley to Thomas and Emily Unwin who ran the butchers shop, now a private house. In 1917 Thomas joined the Royal Flying Corp as a mechanic, sadly soon after he passed away.
Thomas is buried in St Ricarius Churchyard Aberford Yorkshire, from our research we understand the burial service was conducted by the Rev Haughton vicar of Abbots Bromley at that time.
