Charles Alfred Nash

On the 12th of August 1918 Pte Charles Alfred Nash service number 886239 – serving with the 5th Battalion Canadian Infantry (The North Saskatchewan Regt) died of wounds received during the Battle of Amiens.

Charles A Nash was born in Abbots Bromley in 1887 to parents George and Lydia nee Ault.
On the 1901 census the family are recorded as living in Bagot Street. In 1908 Charles aged 21 sailed to Quebec Canada on an Allan Line vessel, his occupation was farm labourer.
He joined the Canadian Infantry in August 1915.
