On the 20th April 1917 Private Alfred Wilson was killed in action in France aged 24.

Alfred was born in April 1893 to George and Emily Wilson of Bagot Street, his father’s occupation was a Butcher.
From records searched we know Alfred enlisted in Uttoxeter with the North Staffordshire Regt.
Alfred’s name appears on the Arras Memorial in France.
